The Lake Days Quilt is a strip-pieced design that incorporates a simple and timeless nostalgia of checkers and stripes in a clean modern aesthetic. The design is inspired by nautical flags and a childhood of summers spent at a beloved family lake cottage. The colors evoke the cool blues of splashing in the shallows, fishing off the pier and boat rides across the lake, the warm yellow of sunshine overhead and bulky life jackets, and the rich reds and pinks of sweet ripe raspberries, grilled hot dogs, and fireworks over the water. The design is fresh and breezy like the ever present wind and the perfect quick make for a summer best spent soaked up outside. It can be made with yardage, fat quarters, or scrappy and carefree.
This pattern is written at a beginner level and perfect for all levels of quilters to show off your favorite palette or fat quarter bundle. This design includes three different colorway versions:
- Cover Version: Uses yardage in a 5 color palette plus background.
- Fat Quarter Version: Uses fat quarters for all foreground colors plus background yardage.
- Scrappy Version: Uses WOF scraps in various sizes for a scrappy finish.
The pattern includes instructions for 2 sizes:
- Baby: 45" x 45"
- Throw: 60" x 60"
This listing is for a paper quilt pattern. It comes professionally printed on high quality paper in a 5.5" x 8.5" saddle stitched booklet. It is packaged in a hangeable clear plastic zipper bag.
